The Key To Sustainable, High-Speed Ground Transport – USA Rail World Conference, Denver, Colorado, September 2010 – Kevin C. Coates, NAMTI executive director – Why the FRA’s incremental “high speed rail” deployment strategy is a scam of the highest magnitude on the American people and a total waste of money, simply because it cannot ever deliver true high-speed transportation.

The U.S. DOT FRA’s April 2009 “Vision for High Speed Rail in America,” – This paper should be an embarrassment to the U.S. DOT and is posted here so you can see for yourself an example of bureaucratic “vision.” Do a CTRL + F search for maglev in the document and it will not come up. How can the U.S. DOT provide a vision of a high-speed ground transportation future and not even mention maglev – the most advanced high-speed ground transportation system ever developed? This is yet another blatant example of broken, or least inept, government.
